Are sports federations fit for society’s demands?

Join us for a webinar on the state of governance in more than a 100 sports federations from 15 countries when Play the Game releases and debates data from the second round of research using the National Sports Governance Observer Tool that was developed in 2018.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday 23 November from 14.00-16.30 CET and participation is free.

PROGRAMME

  • A presentation of key findings about sports governance across the 15 countries
  • Brief presentations of four country studies
  • A panel debate where former Secretary General of the Federation Internationale du Ski, Sarah Lewis, Professor Miguel Maduro, European University Institute, and a sports representative will discuss whether sports federations are fit for society’s demands
  • The launch of online versions of the two benchmarking tools Sports Governance Observer and National Sports Governance Observer that will allow anyone to analyse their own federation and compare the result with other countries or sports.
