Origami Workshop for Beginners

Time: Tuesday 8. November 2022 at 19:00 - Tuesday 8. November 2022 at 20:30

Origami workshop for beginners: Reused paper edition ?

Paper. Is that still something we use in todays digitalized society? Many companies still use it as a viable channel for their communication and marketing, but do you ever actually read it? We know we don’t, but we have something fun that you can use it for instead! ?

Origami is an old Japanese tradition, where you basically fold paper into cool things. Maybe some of you have heard the legend of the one thousand paper cranes. We have chosen to combine this old tradition with the ever-ongoing sustainability trend of today, by reusing paper to do origami ?

So, are you interested in origami but never had the patience to learn anything as a child, do you feel bad every time you throw out paper or do you just want to learn a new party trick? Then this workshop is for you.

We will bring a few different ways to do origami in different difficulties, but everything is on beginner level. The workshop will be happening on the 8th of November from 19.00-20.30, and then afterwards we can grab a beer and practice our folding skills in the Student-bar.

A few of the things you might learn are:

  • Boats ?
  • Tulips ?
  • Cranes ?

We will bring the knowledge, the paper and maybe some origami stories. You only have to bring yourself, great mood and maybe a friend. Spots are limited since we would like to be able to help the ones in need for extra explanation. It will be fun, it will be interesting and it surely will be cozy! ?
