Have you ever wondered what the Danish Christmas traditions are all about? Why do Danes light a calendar candle? What’s the deal with pakkeleg at the annual Christmas dinner, the Christmas calendar on TV, and the dancing and singing around the Christmas tree?
Don’t worry - we have your back! Join us for an introduction to the Danish Christmas traditions, complete with a brief history of the red-hatted ‘nisser’, Christmas tales, and gløgg (mulled wine) and Danish Christmas cookies on the side. Gløgg and cookies are included in the ticket.
Put on your favorite Christmas sweater, bring your friends, and join us for a cozy evening filled with Danish Christmas hygge.
The evening will begin with an introduction to the Danish Christmas traditions, then we’ll have a talk about Christmas traditions around the world, and we will end the evening with a beautiful and intimate choir concert with SMÅ Koret where you can sing along.
