Building stronger partnerships for sustainable impact!

PARTICIPATE! Collaborate brings together youth-led partnerships working across Africa and Denmark to explore how equitable, sustainable, and impactful partnerships are built and strengthened over time.

The seminar is designed both for partnerships that are still shaping their collaboration journey, as well as for more established partnerships looking to deepen their impact, strengthen internal systems, navigate complexity, and explore new forms of collaboration and innovation.

Through peer exchange, practical workshops, and collective reflection, participants will engage with some of the key questions facing youth partnerships today; including shrinking civic space, youth participation and representation, cross-cultural collaboration, sustainability, and creating meaningful change within communities and institutions.

This seminar brings together engaged youth and partnerships working on the African continent, with the aim to explore and get inspiration on how to build strong or strengthen sustainable partnerships, develop cross-cultural projects, and come up with new collaborative project ideas.

Do you want to strengthen your partnerships’ skills and competences within creating sustainable impact?

This seminar will give you the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about local and global challenges with relevance to youth.
  • Reflect on how youth partnerships can navigate shrinking civic space and strengthen democratic participation.
  • Explore how to integrate gender equality, volunteerism and active citizenship into projects.
  • Visit local youth organizations in Denmark.
  • Gain and exchange practical skills in cross-cultural project management.
  • Connect and collaborate with youth passionate about partnerships and cross-cultural work
  • Learn practical tools for building sustainable, equal, and impactful partnerships

The seminar is organized and co-facilitated by Youth Alive Kenya, the Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust (YETT) in Zimbabwe and the Danish Youth Council (DUF) through the PARTICIPATE! program.

If you are an international partnership between a Danish and an African organization you apply together as a partnership (with one application). Each partner organization within the partnership can send two (2) representatives.

If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Steffen Bolvig, Program Manager, at sbh@duf.dk or Climate advisor, Mia Woer, at mwo@duf.dk
